Description
This is a scarce vintage piece of marked Imperial glass that is a large black glass ashtray that features an embossed-or raised scene of a horse head and horseshoe in the center of the ashtray.
The ashtray features slots all the way around the ashtray to hold cigarettes or cigars for which most of these larger ashtrays were used.
This piece measures about 9 1/2" in diameter and sits about 1 1/4" high. It has a rough texture over the entire ashtray on top except for the center horse area.
It weighs about 3.6 pounds before being packaged.
I feel one tiny rough spot on the inside rim area but can't really even be seen because of the black color and textured finish.
Marked with the IG on the backside which is plain smooth glass.
Great vintage piece of glass.
