Enamel Silver Pendant Henrik Wigstrom for Carl Faberge
Russian Faberge silver-88, blue translucent enamel pendant
with doubled headed eagle, master Henrik Wigstrom"H.W."
circa 1908-1917; the pendant covered with blue indigo enamel in gilded silver frame with two diamonds, (see photos with diamond presidium tester), on the Imperial Eagle. Hallmarks on suspension
and on the frame, silver-88, & "H.W." Please look at the pictures.
Henrik Emanuel Wigstrom (1862-1923) joined Faberge's  the firm in 1884, and from 1903 till 1917 served as Faberge's head workmaster.
Henrik Wigstrom became head workmaster upon Michael Perkhin's death, thereby assuming responsibility for the imperial Easter eggs.
Wigstrom was particularly adept at designing cigarette boxes, frames and figurines, which were produced in large number during the firm's most productive years. Wigstrom's style is characterized by echoes of the Louis XVI and Empire periods.
