    Description

    HP JORNADA 680E
    PDA PC WINDOWS CE 3.01
    HANDHELD PC PROFESSIONAL EDITION
    32K RAM
With ALLEN BRADLEY /ROCKWELL AUTOMATION SOFTWARE:
    RSPOCKETLOGIX
    Comes with:
The snap on base unit that has a USB port.
    A modified power supply.
Battery that still holds a little charge!
Manual that is water damaged but still readable, (No Mold).
    The stylus pen.
There is a USB port on the PDS itself and the base.
Came with Allen Bradley / Rockwell Software RSPOCKETLOGIX installed.
This unit was water damaged during storage.
I replaced the LCD screen and cleaned it up.
It works, but the hinge area became very brittle and broke in multiple places.
I’ve epoxied it back together, but it is still slightly fragile.
The unit will not fold completely closed due to the epoxy.
I did a very detailed restoration on this. Over 50 hours.
Please look up RSPOCKETLOGIX and what it works on.
    RSPOCKETLOGIX has been discontinued.
Here are notes about PocketLogix from the Rockwell site:
    Summary
    What processors does RSPocketLogix support?
The current version of RSPocketLogix supports most SLC 500 and MicroLogix 1000 and Analog only.
It does not support the new SLC 500 firmware series C, Micro 1200 or 1500. These will be supported in a future release.
To communicate with the Micro 1000 and Analog, you need an AIC+ and the 1761-CBL-HM02 cable.
Use the 1747-KE to go online with 5/01, 5/02 or 5/03.
    Go online using ethernet card.
Use pcmk to communication via DH-485 & Data Highway Plus.
    Summary
Which cable or adapter do I need to communicate with my SLC or MicroLogix processors?
    MicroLogix 1000:
1203-SNM adapter (provided with unit) or a gender-bender (9 pin male to 9 pin male) along with a Null Modem Adapter (9 pin male to 9 pin female).
These adapters are to be used in conjunction with Allen-Bradley’s 1761-CBL-PM02.
    SLC 5/03, 5/04 or 5/05:
Via the processor’s Channel 0 port you will need the cable that came with your HP/C.
No other adapter is required when attaching to Channel 0 which must be configured for DF1 full-duplex communications.
    SLC L20x, L30x, L40x, 5/01 or 5/02 via DH-485:
Either a 1770-KF3 or 1747-KE on the DH-485 network to translate the DF1 protocol and RS-232 physical layer
into DH-485 protocol and RS-485 physical layer.
    Note:
RSPocketLogix does not currently support Allen-Bradley’s MicroLogix 1500 or 1200
    Summary
Can I develop projects using RSPocketLogix?
RSPocketLogix is designed as a maintenance tool suite for online editing, troubleshooting, and commissioning startups.
Using RSPocketLogix, you can perform maintenance tasks such as editing ladder logic; adjusting data table values, forcing inputs and outputs.
RSPocketLogix does not support many tasks commonly associated with developing new applications such as:
I/O configuration, channel configuration and program file creation.
    PocketLogix™ is a pocket-sized
    version of RSLogix™, designed for
    maintenance of Allen-Bradley programmable
    controllers.
    RSPocketLogix leverages the
familiar RSLogix user interface and feature
set, while operating on a portable Windows®
    CE-based handheld personal computer
    (HPC) platform.
    Programmable controller
applications created with any of the
    Rockwell Software family of programming
packages can be maintained quickly and
    easily with RSPocketLogix.
    You can monitor
    application execution, modify data table
values, force input and output states and
perform both online and offline editing on
    controller applications.
RSPocketLogix offers many of the same
    diagnostic capabilities and
    easy-to-use editing as RSLogix. Combine
this with HPC characteristics like a small,
lightweight form factor, instant on and off,
built-in serial communication and a small
price tag, and you have a unique
maintenance tool that can help you work
    more efficiently.
    Instead of the
inconvenience of having a desktop PC on the
factory floor or worrying about a valuable
laptop PC disappearing from its workstation,
you can carry this small palmtop computer
with you and plug it in when you need to.
The on-board serial ports allow “automatic
archiving” of changes made on the plant
floor by simply connection to the serial port
of a desktop unit, and eliminating the need to
manually record changes or move files.
