Critical Care is a premium recovery food which can be given to herbivores that are unwilling to eat their normal diet due to illness, surgery or poor nutritional status. This specially formulated product contains all the essential nutrients of a complete diet as well as high-fiber timothy hay to ensure proper gut physiology and digestion. Available in Anise and Apple-Banana Flavors. If you have never used either flavor before, most people say their dragons prefer the Anise flavor over the Apple Banana.Dragons off food recovering should be carefully weaned onto protein, feed the Critical Care for one to two weeks before gradually adding Carnivore Care to slowly add protein.We prefer to mix with butternut squash baby food, liquid calcium and Acidophiliz+ for before adding carnivore care or protein for sick or malnourished dragons going back on food.These are the Manufacturers Directions: Shake well before using. Mix 1 part Critical Care with 2 parts warm water to the desired consistency. We recommend adding a few drops at a time until it is the consistency of cake batter. The volume of water may be adjusted depending on feeding method. Herbivorous mammals: Mix 3 Tbsp per kg of body weight daily. (1 Tbsp is equal to approximately 9 grams.) Herbivorous reptiles: Mix 1 Tbsp per kg of body weight daily. Amounts are general guidelines. Divide into 4 to 6 feedings unless specified by your veterinarian. Water should be available to the animal at all times. Prepare fresh at each feeding; discard after 24 hours.Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerate short term. Keep in the freezer to preserve freshness for long term storage. A 300 to 350 gram dragon should get a teaspoon (5 mL) 3 times per day, mix fresh each time. A 100 gram juvie should have 1/3rd of a teaspoon or just over 1.5 cc, 3 times per day to maintain. Store uneaten mixture in a syringe in the fridge for the next feeding. Available in 2 oz by weight ( about 1/3 cup) - 1 oz by weight (almost 1/4 cup) - 5 oz by weight (about 1 cup)Packaged in resealable bags.For small juvies, a 10 gram jar is approximately 4 teaspoons which is about 20 cc, so it should last 10 to 20 days feeding .5 cc to 1 cc per day
