    Description

    October 16, 1778 2 Shillings Massachusetts Colonial Fr MA-262 PCGS VF-30
MA-262. A popular 'Codfish' note, named for the codfish on the front. While the pine tree reverse was engraved by Thomas Fleet, the front was engraved by Paul Revere. One of 8571 notes printed for the denomination, this mid grade example exhibits pleasing ink, solid paper, and nice margins. The signature of Jonathan Brown is sharp and distinct. Very desirable.
