    Description

    Massachusetts October 16, 1778 9 Pence
    Banknote
Paul Revere engraved the original plates
    PCGS Choice Uncirculated 63
A really lovely Codfish note, strongly printed on both sides and boldly signed, this piece is absolutely problem
free. The pine tree vignette on the back of the note is strongly printed, which is rather unusual for this type.
Part of the extreme popularity of this issue is due to the fact that Paul Revere engraved the original plates. The
note has a fresh overall appearance.
This rare Colonial Note rarely comes up for auction. Plates were engraved by Paul Revere.
