Yuo may know Karl Krause for his company's  letterpress printing presses, cutters and related  equipment. He also manufactured Lithography presses.  This is the first example I have ever seen of a Krause Intaglio Press.
She is an 1880's example of German Engineering at it's finest. I have only trued the top roller and added a 1" Benelex bed with guides and supports (being careful to use existing threaded holes and not leave marks on her). The original oak bed and supports come with her, however, the 1/4" lead bed covering was too mangled and I recycled it. The Wheel is cracked in one place but due to its "girth" it does not impede function. It is said this came from the Catholic Church. I collected it up in Philadelphia.
Distinctive in her beauty, heritage and smooth operation, this press deserves a home where she can be showcased and put to work.
