Description
CC-34 ** PCGS CU63 PPQ ** May 9, 1776 Continental Colonial Currency NoteVery Choice May 9, 1776 "FOUR DOLLARS" Continental Colonial Currency Note.
One of the highest graded and one of the finest known, with just a couple examples graded just slightly higher
.
Rare and very conservatively graded & certified by PCGS as CU63 PPQ (Premium Paper Quality), and perhaps slightly undergraded even at this lofty grade level.
Superb eye-appeal with deep paper embossing, colorful serial number & signatures, and this note is darkly inked.
There are no problems of any kind,
and there are no pin holes either.
Clear 5-digit serial number 68206 in red ink, along with the bold signatures of Thomas Leech (also in red), while that of John Howard is neatly penned in dark brown ink.
An authentic & historical item that was printed and issued in our nation's birthyear of 1776 during the Revolutionary War (1775-83), just a couple months before the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the 4th of July of 1776.
