    Description

    HERE is a
    genuine CHOICE EXTREMELY FINE
    STATE OF VIRGINIA CURRENCY NOTE FOR 300 DOLLARS (90 Pounds) dated
    OCTOBER 16, 1780.
    No vignettes but printed on very thin tissue-like, paper.  Back is blank as issued with the exception of the words THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS and NINETY POUNDS at right and left margins.
    This issue was redeemable at the rate of in silver coin for every worth of paper currency, until December 30, 1790.
    The wording on the front of the note is as follows:

    redeemed in SPANISH MILLED DOLLARS,
    or the value in Gold or Silver, at the
